One Step Oligo Processing

The Cascade Cleavage & Deprotection module is a compact, easy-to-use system that automates the often-overlooked process of cleaving and deprotecting oligos.

Traditionally performed as two separate operations with aqueous Methylamine and/or aqueous Ammonium hydroxide, the Cascade performs both cleavage and deprotection in a single step and leaves the support dry so that the user may elute and desalt directly from the plates or columns.

Within the compact footprint of 20 x 28cm, the Cascade can fit 4 plates or 384 columns. Each plate or column rests on one of two sliding rails that perfectly center each support between two heating plates. The even heat distribution combined with the failsafe pressure system leaves the user with a uniform product every time.

The controller module offers the user intuitive control over the heat and pressure elements of the reaction. With 3 separate taps for handling the input and output of gas, and a timed heat controller, the user can define and run their preferred reaction in a matter of seconds.

The Cascade comes with protocols for cleaving and deprotecting oligos under a variety of conditions, including Ammonia-based, Ammonia free, and Liquid Deprotection. So, whatever your existing workflow requires, the Cascade will fit in seamlessly.

With each unit, we supply one of our custom vacuum manifolds, designed to be compatible with the reactive chemistry of oligo synthesis.
